My new diabetes case, a give away, and cool savings all in one post

My new diabetes case, a give away, and cool savings all in one post

I have been given this product as part of a product review. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and the company in no way influenced me.

My new cool case

Outside of the case I keptA few days ago, I received a diabetes supplies carrying case from SugarMedical. I want to say right off that I love this case. It is roomy and can comfortably accommodate the items I carry with me. The case I am using right now is SugrBag Mini Black Leather case. It meets all my typical requirements. It is soft, flexible, well made, and attractive. Since I have only been using it a few days I cannot attest that it is rugged, but it looks like it will last me a long time.

The SugrBag Mini Black Leather case measures 4.5” wide x 6” long x 1” thick. It is made of leather, and suitable for both males and females. On the outside, the case has small red stitching on one side and an outside pocket on the other side. The zippers are substantial, and the main opening zipper has a leather pull tab. The zippers move smoothly, and I believe they will take a beating with no adverse outcomes.

Inside fo case I keptOn the inside, I have room to place my meter, test strips, lancets, and medical or credit cards. The picture shows the extra vial I carry for used test strips.  I have also  comfortably included a USB cable which carry to recharge my telephone is needed. I believe that the case could easily handle two insulin pens. However, the case is not appropriate for carrying most pump sets. I use a quickset from Medtronic, and the case is not large enough to carry one of those. But that is not a knock on the bag, I have never placed a quickset in any of my diabetes cases. Instead I carry it in my bag. I also carry a FasClicx device, extra Lancet cartridges, a vial of 50 strips and several used test strips. On the outside, I carry two packages of Elovate in the zippered external compartment. I still have room for cards, a pen and if I took the cable out, a vial of insulin.

Outside of case I keptWhat I love about this bag is how thin it is, the feel of the case, and the high-quality construction. I have no doubt this case will last for years. The case fits comfortably in my purse (Man Bag, Brosac or Murse depending on what you wish to call it). I am amazed at how cool the case looks and how incredible it feels. This case is fantastic for the business person who does not want to look dissolved when they pull out their testing supplies, or anyone who wants a slim case that they can carry with ease inside any brief case, purse, or other all-purpose bag.

This SugarMedical case has become my everyday case for diabetes on the go. It easily fits in the drawer, and it looks great. Since it does not look like a miniature doctor’s bag, it is great to take anywhere, and I even had a person who I did not know ask where I got that cool looking wallet. (I told her I won the genetic lottery). If the case I carry is a bit too formal, rest assured they have plenty of styles including over the shoulder bags with cool pockets for carrying all diabetes supplies. The selection is varied and will suit almost all personalities. I might even get one for casual situations. These would make a great gift for all PWD’s.

Your chance to win and save

Speaking of winning, I have two cool offers. The good people at SugarMedical sent me an extra bag to give away, and you can be the winner. SugarMedical calls this bag the Universal Deluxe Supply Case-James . This case is slightly larger than the case I am using, but it is still very manageable. This case is designed for people with any type of diabetes. It has room for a combination of a meter, test strips, lancet device, syringes, extra insulin or snacks.

pocket side of case being given awayIt has the most remarkable feature for used test strips. Inside the case, there is a small slot to put used test strips in. I am told it will store about 300 used strips, and it is easy to clean out. I think that slot is so cool, no more chasing used strips around the house or car.

The case is mostly black with red and gray stripes. It includes a removable strap, and the zippers are neatly accentuated with red pulls. Behind the mesh pocket is another pocket that is not zippered but provides yet another place to store items. It also has two Velcro stick tabs that can attach to an item you do not want to roll around in the bag. I envision using them for a meter or lancet device.

Inside of case being given awayYou can enter to win this give away using RaffelCopter.  To enter fill out the form below and comment on this blog with the hashtag #COOLCASE  before midnight on Monday March 19, 2018. and you are in the drawing. 1. Hoping to win a case for my husband to carry all his new diabetes supplies around. #COOLCASE

    • I am sorry you cannot enter. Boo Hiss mean site operator.

  3. Cool. Thanks for sharing #COOLCASE

    • This is one of the few not all black cases that is suitable for men. I have to admit I was tempted to keep it. But my wife said no more diacrap hanging around. 🙂

  4. This is so handy, especially as a young adult with Type 1, I am always on the lookout for a #COOLCASE that is small enough to fit with the rest of my life.

  5. Very handy! Been looking for a new case to carry my supplies and help keep me organized when traveling. Always seem to be searching my backpack for my supplies, lol! #COOLCASE

  13. Hmmmmm! I just got the bigger Diabete-ezy one, but it’s pretty big, two compartments. One of my Mio infusion set fits and one reservoir fit in it, a glucagon kit, some jelly bellies, but those look like they’d fit in my bag better. This one seems kinda hard to open, if there’s too much in the large compartment. Never knew there were any other cases out there! As usual, thx Rick!

    • Thank you Kelly for both comments today. I got my shirt fixed. LOL

Check out my friend Molly’s review of her Sugar-Medical case and over the shoulder bag ( http://atjax.net/sugarmedical/ ). This particular over the shoulder bag has a pocket for cool storage. I think I may have to get one like it, except in a subdued hunter green perhaps. Though I have to admit the flowers are pretty cool looking.

  14. This is a great review and of the #coolcase. I hope I win 😉

    • Oh I am sorry, I already gave it away. But it was a #coolcase for certain.

  15. The new diabetes case as a give away is a cool saving all in one. I would like to make use of one if I would know how to get it. The information and education in this article will be able to help those who would have time to interact with it. Can you please let me know when another wonderful content of this nature is live?
