The Spring Tune Up

Last week I took my bicycle to the local shop for a spring tune-up. I did that even though the temperature was in the low 30’s and I am in a surgical boot because of a minor surgery, which was not so minor, 4 months ago. Despite the apparent impediments to riding my bicycle, getting it serviced is a spring ritual that I have been doing since I was a boy.

    • Ahh its good. My foot hurts but i am told I cna get on my bicycle this coming week. so I am looking forward to hopping on for a ride, better late than never.

  2. I hate wearing those walking boots, but you sure appreciate it when they come off. I used to love riding my bike too. Have fun, just be careful hopping! 👋🏼☺️

    • Oh I am so glad to be out of the boot. Grrr, hate that boot.

  3. always the optimist!!! These spring rituals are so important. When i can’t sharpen my skis or get out my gardening tools, then I’m not sure how worthwhile life will be. Nice to hear from you.

    • Thanks Leigh, it is good to be cycling back after a tough winter. I hope hope to pick up the pace in coming weeks.
