Sticky Buttons

I have a sticky button. I have lots of sticky buttons in my life. Of course, because of RA, I also have fat fingers. The problem is that I need my sticky buttons to work well.

The button that bothers me this morning is on my insulin pump. Now let me say right off: there is nothing wrong with the pump or the button. I blame the pump, but it is my fingers that are having difficulty working the pump today.

Living with diabetes and RA

When people ask me what is frustrating about living with diabetes and RA, they do not understand that sometimes, it is the oddest little thing like a sticky button. Unlike when I was diagnosed in 1974, type 1 diabetes is mostly a technology-oriented condition.

  1. Strewth Rick, what a minefield to have to negotiate! I had no idea! Wish I could think of some wacky reply as you tend to leave on my blog …but I can’t!

    • Ahh using the word Strewth is totally novel enough. Thank you for the wonderful comment. Oh and watch out for those crazy sticky buttons. :).
